Carrier Terms

Effective Date: October 20, 2026 · carrier-data-terms-v1

These Carrier Terms apply to trucking companies ("Carriers") that create an account to find students and send job offers on Lowest Cost ELDT, a service of Novio ELD LLC. They are in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By creating a carrier account or accepting the data terms in the carrier portal, you agree to them on behalf of your company.

1. Who can join

  • Your company has an active USDOT number and FMCSA records show it is allowed to operate.
  • The information you give us is accurate and you keep it current.
  • One company per account, and you are hiring drivers for your own company.

We confirm your company before you can see any student, usually by your email domain or a call to the phone number FMCSA lists for your USDOT number. We may re-check your FMCSA record at any time.

2. What you can see

Until a student accepts your offer or applies to your job, you see an anonymous profile: first name and last initial, state, roughly how far the student is from your company address, whether the student is 21 or older, permit or license stage, the license class and endorsements they are training for, their behind-the-wheel training status and expected CDL month, their driving experience, their job preferences and short note, and the ELDT courses they completed with us (month finished and whether it was reported to FMCSA). Fields the student typed are self-reported. We may also send you an anonymous profile ourselves.

Name, email and home ZIP code open to you only when a student accepts your offer or applies to your job, and a phone number only if the student chooses to share it. A student who applies to your job also sends you their job profile. Our ELDT information comes from our own training records. It is information only, not a qualification decision, and it does not replace your own hiring checks.

3. Permitted use

Contact a student only about a real, open driving job at your company. Do not resell student information, build lists, market other products or services, or use it for credit, insurance or housing decisions.

4. Never charge drivers

Never charge a student to apply or to be hired, and never ask for upfront fees, deposits or payments for training before hire. Lease-purchase payments and training-contract repayment are allowed only when the job post states them clearly. Company driver, lease-purchase and owner-operator jobs are allowed and must be labeled correctly. Carrier-paid training, including at your own CDL school, must be labeled clearly, with any training contract and repayment terms in the job post.

5. Fair hiring

Follow all anti-discrimination laws. Do not state or act on a preference based on a protected trait (such as age, sex, national origin, religion, race or pregnancy) in a job post, a message or a decision. A minimum age above 21 must have a lawful business reason, such as an insurance requirement.

Our courses are accepted in 49 states; Washington requires a Washington-registered provider. A completed course shown for a student in Washington may not count toward a Washington CDL, so check the state's rules before you rely on it.

6. Your own hiring checks

You alone are responsible for qualifying a driver, including the application and driving-record inquiries under 49 CFR Part 391, Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse queries, drug testing, the DOT physical and any background check under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Nothing we show you replaces these steps.

7. Contact rules

  • Contact only students who accepted your offer or applied to your job.
  • Honor a request to stop, including replies of STOP to texts, right away.
  • Call or text only between 8am and 9pm in the student's local time.
  • Follow the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the CAN-SPAM Act.

8. Protect student data

Keep student information secure and use it only under these terms. Delete it within 90 days if you do not hire the student, or sooner when the student or we ask you to.

9. No scraping, no re-identification

Do not scrape or export profiles, and do not try to work out who an anonymous profile belongs to. Access to student profiles is logged.

10. Suspension

We may hide a job post, remove an offer or suspend a carrier account at any time, including after a report from a student or if your FMCSA record changes.

11. Cost

Carrier accounts are free while we launch. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any charge.

12. No guarantee

We do not guarantee candidates, accepted offers or hires, and we do not recommend any student. We do not take part in your hiring decisions.
