For trucking companies

Find drivers who finished ELDT theory.

Verified trucking companies can find students who completed their ELDT theory with Lowest Cost ELDT and send them job offers. Free while we launch.

  • ELDT completion from our own records
  • Contact details only after the student says yes
  • Free while we launch
How it works

From USDOT number to your first offer

No contract and no fee while we launch.

1

Enter your USDOT or MC number

We read your company from FMCSA's public records, so there is no long form to fill in.

2

Confirm your company

Check the name and address, then create your account with your work email.

3

We verify you

We check your email domain, or call the phone number FMCSA lists for your USDOT number. Usually one business day.

4

Post jobs and send offers

Search anonymous student profiles, send offers, and post jobs students can apply to.

What you see

Anonymous profiles. Contact details after a yes.

Students choose to show a limited profile to verified carriers. Their name, email and home ZIP open to one company only, when the student accepts that company's offer or applies to its job.

In search, you see

  • First name and last initial, state, roughly how far they are from your company address, and whether the student is 21 or older
  • Their permit or license stage, the license class and endorsements they want, and behind-the-wheel status
  • The ELDT courses they finished with us, the month, and whether it was reported to FMCSA, from our own records
  • Job preferences, driving experience and a short note the student typed (self-reported)

ELDT completion is information only, not a substitute for your own hiring checks. We do not rate or recommend students.

The rules

  • Never charge a driver to apply or be hired, and never ask for upfront fees or deposits before hire
  • All job types are allowed and clearly labeled: company driver, lease-purchase, owner-operator
  • Training at your company school and tuition reimbursement are allowed, with the contract terms stated in the job
  • You are responsible for your own FMCSA hiring checks
  • Contact only students who accepted your offer or applied to your job

Read the full Carrier Terms.

Create your carrier account

Questions carriers ask

Verification, what you see, contact rules and cost.

What does it cost?
Free while we launch. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any charge. Students never pay anything.
Who can join?
Any trucking company with a USDOT number that FMCSA shows as authorized to operate. Enter your USDOT or MC number and we fill in your company from FMCSA's public records.
How do you verify my company?
FMCSA data tells us the company exists and may operate. To confirm that you work there, we check your email domain against your website and, if needed, call the phone number FMCSA lists for your USDOT number. This usually takes one business day. Until then you can set up jobs, but you can't see students, publish jobs or send offers.
What do I see about a student?
An anonymous profile: first name and last initial, state, roughly how far they are from your company address, whether they are 21 or older, their permit or license stage, the license class and endorsements they are training for, their behind-the-wheel training status and expected CDL month, their driving experience, the job preferences and short note they entered, and the ELDT courses they finished with us (the month, and whether it was reported to FMCSA, from our records). What the student typed is labeled as self-reported. Endorsements are the ones they want, not ones they hold.
When do I get a student's contact details?
Only after the student accepts your offer or applies to your job. Then you see their name, email and home ZIP code, and their phone number only if they choose to share it. A student who applies to your job also sends you their job profile. Details open to your company alone.
What does ELDT completion mean for hiring?
It tells you a student finished the FMCSA-required theory course with Lowest Cost ELDT and when. It is information only, not a substitute for your own hiring checks. We do not rate, score or recommend students, and we do not run MVR, background or drug checks. Our courses are accepted in 49 states; Washington requires a Washington-registered provider, so a Washington student's completion may not count toward a Washington CDL.
Can I make offers to students who don't have a CDL yet?
Yes. A pre-hire offer is conditional, for example on getting the CDL, a DOT physical and your own checks. You choose which conditions apply, and the student sees them. An invitation to talk has no conditions.
Can I list lease-purchase, owner-operator or paid-training jobs?
Yes. All job types are allowed and clearly labeled for students. If a job includes training at your company school or tuition reimbursement, state the training contract and any repayment terms in the post.
Can I charge drivers anything?
No. Never charge a student to apply or to be hired, and never ask for upfront fees, deposits or payments for training before hire. Lease-purchase payments and training-contract repayment are allowed only when the job post states them clearly. Students can report any offer or job, and we remove carriers that break this rule.
Who is responsible for hiring decisions?
You are. Lowest Cost ELDT does not take part in hiring, does not guarantee any student will accept an offer, and does not guarantee candidates. You are responsible for FMCSA hiring checks and for following employment, anti-discrimination, TCPA and CAN-SPAM rules.
